With supinion, students ask their questions anonymously, vote on the most important ones and answer polls, word clouds and quizzes. You show your slides in between, and everyone joins in the browser, with no app and no sign-up.

How it works in a lecture

  1. You upload your slides as a PDF and put questions in between, or pick a template such as the seminar evaluation.

  2. A QR code and a six-digit code appear on the big screen, and the whole lecture hall joins with it.

  3. Answers arrive live, and you decide when the results are shown.

Describe the topic, the semester and your goal and you get a draft with four to eight slides, which you adapt to your lecture in the editor.

Themes from open answers

Nobody reads out 300 free-text answers one by one. The AI groups idea walls, Q&A and word clouds into up to six themes, without names or device IDs.

The AI comes with Pro, EDU and Team, and during the trial you can try it three times. Every AI button tells you where the data goes, and nothing leaves until you click it yourself. You can switch the AI off completely in your settings.

Made for lectures, seminars and training

Students need no account and stay anonymous unless you ask for names. That brings out the questions nobody would ask in front of 300 people.

  • Bring slides from PowerPoint or any other program as a PDF, and every page becomes a slide.
  • From Pro upwards you export results as CSV or PDF, for example for your course evaluation.

What happens to your students’ data

  1. supinion runs on a server in a data centre in Falkenstein, Germany.
  2. Our pages load nothing from third-party servers and set no cookies. There are no tracking scripts or ads, and we count website visits on the server with our own Matomo installation, without IP addresses.
  3. We don’t store IP addresses, and 24 hours after a session no answer can be linked to a device any more.
  4. We delete results after twelve months, and you can delete them yourself at any time before that.

Frequently asked questions

How many students can take part?

Up to 1,000 per session with Pro, and up to 2,000 with the large event pass. The free plan covers 50 participants per calendar month, enough to try it in a seminar.

Are the questions really anonymous?

Yes, as long as you don’t ask for names in your presentation. We don’t store IP addresses, and 24 hours after the session no answer can be linked to a device any more.

Can I use my lecture slides?

Yes, as a PDF. Each page becomes a slide, and you put your questions exactly where they fit in the lecture.

Does it work on the university Wi-Fi?

supinion only needs a normal web connection. If the live connection is blocked, devices automatically check back every two seconds.

What does it cost for a department or the whole university?

The campus licence starts at €2,500 a year. Tell us through the request form how many lecturers want to use it, and we’ll send you an offer.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

You automatically drop back to the free plan, and nothing is charged, because we never ask for a card. The trial is available once per email address.
